A space designed by renowned interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán, recreating a library lounge where books and wines coexist. A place to read our wines and taste a few books. It currently hosts the exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bodegas Solar de Samaniego.

The Vineyard Library pays tribute to Bodegas Solar de Samaniego’s vineyards in Rioja Alavesa. Painted directly onto the walls like frescoes, the images occupy a surface that once supported an old bottle rack. Today, thanks to its facilities and equipment, the space provides a distinctive setting for meetings and events.

Following the latest renovation of the winery, carried out in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair in Cultural Landscapes and Heritage, the former dining room was opened up to the surrounding landscape through a veranda overlooking the vineyard beside the winery, a magnificent terrace and the Sierra de Toloño.

A magnificent interior space surrounded by Solar de Samaniego’s barrel cellar, with specially designed lighting that creates a unique atmosphere around the oak barrels where our wines age, alongside walls transformed into libraries.

Espacio Medio Millón
A unique wine tourism attraction connected to both the tangible architectural heritage and the intangible heritage of wine culture. This is the area with the strongest industrial character in the winery, where seven thirteen-metre-high tanks dating from the 1970s once stood. These magnificent concrete structures, transformed through the work of Australian muralist Guido Van Helten, have become an icon of Rioja Alavesa.

Terraza con Viñedo
At the winery, we have a magnificent terrace with direct access from the dining room, next to a vineyard overlooking the Sierra de Toloño, a natural barrier that protects the area and provides a favourable climate for producing the finest wines.
